Murder Mystery Games Have A Reputation For Being Cheesy…

But I don’t care. Look at the attention they’re getting after the TV show, “The Office” had one worked into a recent episode. I’m betting mystery game sales went up after people watched that show. I know my murder mystery games took a nice spike upward. Cheesy is fun. It’s like watching a totally bad B movie and just loving the experience of knowing your watching a totally bad B movie and loving it. Having some cheesy, goofy fun means you’re not having to think about stuff for awhile and that’s a great thing to do. Escape, get silly and have fun. Cheesy murder mystery games are not for everyone but I kinda feel sorry for those that wouldn’t even consider playing one. Sometimes ya just gotta dance like no one is watching. Sometimes ya just gotta be in the moment of being totally silly. It’s like a mini-vacation! My two cents…

Click to Give Website

Yeah, I know this has nothing to do with fun party themes and games but it reminds us how lucky we are. This site has a Click to Give campaign wherein you click a link and it provides help/assistance in some great way: Hunger, breast cancer, animal rescue, literacy and rain forest protection: http://tinyurl.com/yr64wu. I’ve gotten into the habit of clicking every day just before I check my email. It makes me feel great, helping even in this small way and it makes be grateful for what I have.

You gotta check out http://www.pandora.com. It’s an internet radio station where you pick only the music you want to hear. It’s awesome and it’s free. Just fire up your computer at your next party, tune in to Pandora and never think about changing a CD, just have fun.  I also now use Pandora during my workouts.  Watch out ITunes!

TV Crime Shows Are Gettin’ Pretty Boring – AMENDED

Wait! I thought of one crime show I love: Criminal Minds. It’s unique, interesting, suspenseful, creepy and has great actors. BTW, you might be asking what crime TV has to do with parties? Well, I do write murder mystery games and often use what I see and read as inspiration. I actually have a huge “Idea & Inspiration” binder filled with real life mysteries, TV mysteries and more.

TV Crime Shows Are Gettin’ Pretty Boring

Okay I love watching TV. I do. I don’t love it as much as I love to read but when my eyes get too tired to read, I watch TV. As a murder mystery writer, I gotta say Crime TV is so damn boring. How many CSI shows and NCIS shows do we need? Even the original CSI Las Vegas is getting boring (I miss the quirky William Petersen). Are there any good Crime TV shows out there that have a solid plot combined with solid acting that can keep YOUR interest? I wanna know…

The CIA Library

Check it out! The CIA releases millions of pages of documents each year. The Library contains a wealth of information, from unclassified current publications to basic references, reports and maps. The Library features The World Factbook. It also has documents and articles of historical significance. Way cool. I just read the documents they had on the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre in Chicago. https://www.cia.gov/library/index.html.

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) – Fox channel is paying “homarge” to its long running comedy series “The Simpsons” with a week-long on-air scavenger hunt this November.

From November 9 to 15, fans can watch Fox to look out for Simpson tributes and clues in primetime programming and in on-air promos. Participating shows in the tribute include, “House,” “Lie to Me,” “So You Think you Can Dance,” “Bones,” “Fringe,” “Brothers,” “‘Til Death,” and “Dollhouse.”

Those who spot the clues can log onto the network’s website for a chance to win daily prizes and to enter to win a grand prize.

And on January 14, Fox will kick off “Best. 20 Years. Ever,” a year-long global 20th anniversary celebration of TV’s yellowest family.

Meanwhile, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Anne Hathaway, Jackie Mason, Neve Campbell and the late Eartha Kitt are slated to lend their voices on the upcoming 21st season of “The Simpsons.”

Additional guest stars will include Chris Martin from Coldplay, Sarah Silverman, Eli and Peyton Manning, Angela Bassett, Bob Costas, and Chuck Liddell.

Farrah Upstaged by Michael – Not Fair!

Yeah this is off topic but I’m sadder about Farrah Fawcett passing than Michael Jackson. All the press about him is making me gag. What do you think?
